Hey guys. I am just putting our name out there to get in the running with all the refineries out there.

Horizon Metals has been around since 1984.
Previous owner of sipi metals in chicago.

We make custom alloys and wire. We also can cast almost any shape.

Along with that we refine and smelt precious metals. (Gold, silver, Platinum, Palladium)
We actually fire assay all lots unless you want a same day. then we will do a XRF (we also do advances) ICP for PD an PT
Gold starts at 97% and goes to 99%. on lots over 500ozt we have gone as far as 99.25% with good volume
We take scrap gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. From clean jewelry to low grade filters and polishing dust we do all processes in house.

Why use us? Our assays. We are very accurate and don't use fixed correction factors. We are also very quick as far as refineries go. We are not your melt and XRF refinery.

I usually don't take silver with CD or HG.

So please feel free to comment or ask any questions about us.

Welcome to the board. We are glad to have another precious metals industry representative present.

Do you process PGMs in house or solely prepare?

I have removed your other additional post. Any solicitation for business can be made in this section.

Best,

Lou

Thanks Lou

All lots are melted and sampled. Assaying can be XRF, ICP for low %, and occasionally Fire assay.

Silver is all Fire Assayed
4 metals are fire assayed and the acid done on the ICP
And Platinum is X-rayed or fire assayed for a fee.

we send out an impure bar to another refinery. If possible we will reuse it in alloys if the specs are right.

Gold is reused in house for alloys as well. Any gold not used is passed on to another refinery as well.

Phil -

Welcome to the forum.

I have been fortunate enough to learn a lot, enjoy great conversations and gain significant business from the wonderful people on here.

Lou is a great resource and one I would utilize since he offered. I have also emailed you regarding a business opportunity.

Best of Luck,
Miguel

Thanks Miguel. Let me see what I can do to help you and me out.

I've been on here for most of the year and know some of the key players on here. I'm glad to be a part of this forum and look forward to hopefully adding some insight in the future.

Thanks

Phillip Mueller

Phil - are you interested in buying PGM black (Pt,Pd,Rh) "recovered" from leaching CATs

The PGM black is recovered from the leach with zinc.

I am working with a scarp yard & right now we are runing some small test batches to see what recovery is & it looks like there is a real good chance that we are going to be doing a large scale leach/recover process on select types of CATs

I currently have about 3.5 ozt of PGM black from our test runs & if it turns out that we go with this we will be looking at 30 ozt plus per month just to start with.

IF - you are interested in buying our PGM black - what would be your pay out on the Pt - Pd & Rh --- that of course is the first question - more questions to follow if you are interested in buying
