How much gold is in there

I saw this gold plated in the small ring. How much gold is there roughly?
The guy selling the harddisk for like $15
Its like $60 per gram of 99.99 gold here in my country
I dunno if i could get profit after minus my overhead cost

I believe the centre is brass, which would contain exactly none.
There is much, MUCH less than a quarter of a gram of gold in a hard disk board. If you were getting a bunch of them for nearly free, it would be more worthwhile.

"Yield" is a helpful keyword to use when searching the forum for the amount of gold in things.

I say take a gold testing kit when looking at scrap. As the old saying goes, "all that glitters is not necessarily gold", that's the way I say it
