Just wanted to say Howdy from Idaho!!! I am an engraver and silver-smith. Dealing with refiners for the last 30+ yrs and have wondered if It would be worth my time to learn recovery for gold and silver. With metal prices doing what they do, I decided to do two things learn about what happens when I send scrap in for trade and start buying silver from other sources. Thanks ,Dave

Where are you from Dave? I'm orginally from American Falls born & raised. 1st off welcome to the forum I got hooked on it a few years ago while I was working in Afganistan. 2nd your going to do alot of reading/studying/testing. 3rd be safe (most important). Next would be there is a mass of knowledge in this forum and fantastic teachers who will help all they can BUT alot of people come and go due to attitude and the expectation of someone on the forum to hold their hand and do everything for them so they can become rich. Honestly I have never made any money doing refining at the low level I do this is a hobby for me what I do refine I trade in with a large refiner for a loss for certified bullion and I put it in the safe. But I will tell you my passion is silver there is nothing like watching crystals form and after following proper procedures melting it down and pouring YOUR own bar.

Once again welcome, read the forum rules, listen to advise these guys know what their doing and study one step at a time. Have fun & good luck you will be amazed at the info/knowledge here
