Hi,
I'm new to refining, is there anyone out there that would be willing to offer me a step by step approach to refining electronics: cell phones, computers,Etc.
I have several old computers and such that I would like to try and recover some of the gold and other precious from inside to help me get started.
Thanks

There is a lot of information here on the forum that will give you every step you need and also tell you what to go after if you will just do some searching. Get you a copy of Hoke's hand book available for download here on the forum and start reading it and it will be your guide to most of your questions.

Unfortunately you may need quite a bit more of material than this to see any results, however E-scrap is very easy to come by if you invest the time to find it.
Here's a pretty good disscusion about how to get more Escrap

In the meantime, here's a copy of Hokes book. This will give you something to do in your spare time until you can gather some more computers/material.

Howdy Kona, how's it going?
First thing to do, read everything that people here suggest you read (esp. on the subject of safety) and follow what it tells you. If you have questions after that, search for the answers within the forum posts. Odds are your questions have already been asked and answered. MOST IMPORTANTLY do not try to take any short cuts. With some of these processes that short cut could lead you or someone else to the hospital or worse. Do not die for a little piece of metal! Other than that have a good time and learn as much as you can. This is a really great group of people here.

peace,
Jimmi
