Interesting items, from a forum member. Anybody know anything about them? I have a few of the white ceramic dips, and some other pretty, old chips but I've never seen anything like these.

As usable parts, who knows? I can't see the insides but, as scrap, I would guess they are only worth from about 1/40th to 1/100th of the asking price. They're listed at $5,800 per pound (454/77.4 x 990). That's equivalent to 25% gold by weight or 6K gold, folks. Shipping is $15!

I wasn't going to comment on the price, :p
Sometimes if you have something rare enough its worthwhile to sit on things and ask a premium. I was just curious if anyone knew more about what they are.

They appear to be new old stock and are some type of digital to analog (D/A) converters. Despite the writing on them, they appear to be unused. I assume they're being sold for use and not scrap? I think the seller would do a lot better to contact one of these many after-market suppliers since they appear to be asking almost $1500 apiece for them! They seem to be used in military weapons systems which maybe explains the ridiculous pricing.
