Hi all,
I don't know what hit me. I was watching some YouTube videos on melting aluminum and BAM!!! Now I've taken apart several computers, TV's, printers and other e-waste products I come across. All in search of PM's. I've been studying the videos and searching for answers to questions I come against in this forum. I'm almost ready to begin my first gold finger recovery and refining.
I got a good connection with a local thrift store and a computer fix guy. My wife is tolerating this all pretty well which is making things a little easy.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the great info on this site.

Welcome to the forum.
The safety section, and dealing with waste would be the first places I would start with.
Hokes book to learn much of the basics.
Then the guide to the forum...

Let me cite Yoda's words of wisdom:
"Ready are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph! Adventure. Heh! Excitement. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless!"

Joke aside, I doubt anyone new (included myself before I found this forum, even though I'm teaching chemistry to kids since 20 years) is "ready" for anything else but studying before having read Hoke forth and back and the forum for some weeks or better months.

Welcome.

Noted. I have been studying Hokes book. I do need to spend more time studying the chemicals and what is happening with the reactions.
