Recently retired. 72. Sort of a homebody now. I was active for 38 years in the used equipment business. I know the value of the heavy stuff like stainless, brass and copper. Aluminum too, but it’s easier to load 1000 pounds of brass than 1000 of aluminum. But i don’t want to work with the heavy stuff anymore. So, I want to explore the expensive stuff for a while. I have a BS in chemistry from almost a half century ago, but never pursued it as a career because manufacturing pays way better than chemistry. I was manager of a lab in a melt shop where we melted and poured about 400 tons a month of 300 series stainless steel. I’ve read up on several of the methods of mining electronics and initially here to see if I can stay focused long enough to learn something new. Being new allows me to ask a least 5 dumb questions. I hope?
