Is extracting silver worth it?

I've seen a few videos where people extract the silver from microchips. But is is worth it? Silver is about 40 times cheaper than gold, apparently, and the quantity that we can extract is as small as that of gold.

No, I do not think it is economical to go for the Silver alone.
Depending on your method it can be done alongside the Gold.
