Anyone know this book? Is it good, or not worth it?

I haven't read this book for 30 years, but here's what I remember.

I think the author learned what he knew in the California electronics industry.

The guy is a terrible writer. There's probably not a complete sentence in the whole book.

I seem to recall that there is a chapter on the sulfuric cell. For that reason alone, it may be worthwhile.

Some people love this book and others hate it. Harold hated it. He feels the guy says things that aren't technically sound. I don't remember the book well enough to agree but Harold is probably right.

I'm sort of non-committal on it. I would like to have a copy of it. The book is full of tares, but there is some good grain in it.

I have a copy of Gajda's book and I agree it is not the best written. It is also slanted to cyanide leaching of e-scrap. The book did have some worthwhile information. There are chapters on the identification of binary alloys,
another on the commercial separation of precious metals, another on the refining of platinum group metals, another on electrolytic refining methods,
and finally a chapter on precious metal alloys. This is good information -- unfortunately the rest of the book can easily be discarded as useless, badly written, and redundant.
