It's about time I make a proper introduction- So, here goes....
My name is Audey Hicks
I live in the Pacific Northwest - Lynden WA. Lynden Is kind of a boarder town. I am approximately 3 miles south of the US Canadian border and about 5 miles inland from the Pacific. Technically, the Straight of Juan De Fuca.
I am a 49 y.o. male, married with 4 children.
My hobbies include playing electric guitar with my 16 y.o. son, coaching little league baseball, basketball and football with my 10 y.o. son. I spend time with my 15 y.o daughter with her ballet. My oldest daughter is 23, is on her own going to college. As for me, I love classic autos. I have a 1956 F 100 fat fender ford pick up and a couple of T - Birds.
In 2001, I was injured on my construction job site. Consequently, I do not work in construction anymore.
This past 6-7 years have been spent retraining and looking for another entrepreneurial venture. While learning about electronics. I happened upon a site selling scrap electronic components - with gold that could be recovered. "Gold" caught my eye, so I started looking up sites about gold recovery and refining. I gratefully, found this forum.
I joined in December of 2009 but spent many months reading posts, handbook and Hokes. I had many questions, but the toughest one to understand was base metals and getting rid of them. I did ask and I got me a good education. Thank you, to those who have graciously given your time and knowledge.
I have been processing boards that I scrounged up at the junk yard. Removing and processing fingers were simple. Now,I am venturing into new waters that are very challenging. I have purchased a lot of e scrap. The first lot is getting thin, so I have purchased my second lot. This lot has stuff that I may need help with.
I look forward to being able to contribute my experiences.
Thanks to all.
