Anybody think this will? Dissolve lead chloride in hot water, keep it on heat. Then drop in an iron plate. Would iron replace the lead in solution? I am trying to get lead metal from lead chloride. Thanks.

I think it will work. According to this site
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.gcsescience.com/r5-metal-displacement-reactions.htm&ved=2ahUKEwigmPKoi_7tAhVS-qQKHeXUC0QQFjAAegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw26sWd-CcajDK5VZZH9_Q9s&cshid=1609621259214
Tin will displace lead and these two are next to each other in the reactivity series. Iron is a couple steps further up the ladder so i guess it should work.
Test and let us know please.

In the same way I was wondering if you would put a piece of gold in an AR solution containing PGM's the PGM's would cement out.
Martijn.
