some people are very leery about giving personal information on the internet ,and for good reason. but there again, unless your running from justice or a celerity it does seem a lot of people are a tad bit paranoid.

If someone wants to find you they will. You can't hide on the Net! Big Brother knows where you're at!
It just seems like most people on here are friendly and helpful and all around good folks. What the heck are they hiding from????? I'm sure as hell not afraid of any of you guys knowing where I am.
Are they afraid someone might steal their gold? That's a possible!

We do get some con artists on here from time to time, with "too good to be true" offers for "gold dust" and so forth. But I don't think anyone buys into their stuff, and they are soon gone. The other scam is a "wonderful Website, just register with your email to log in, and it turns out to be just an email harvesting scam.

Putting some kind of general location in your user profile is very helpful, to you and others, in several ways. When discussing regulations, availability of chemicals, buying or selling to each other, or just getting together about refining. It's also helpful when there seems to be a language barrier, because sometimes it's easier to figure out what someone means, if you know what country they're from.

For awhile, I thought it should be required to put in at least your approximate location. But I know how lots of people hate requirements. Me too.

It's funny when someone asks something like where they can get a certain chemical locally, but they don't have their location listed. And sometimes a person will make a comment like, "I can't get that locally," and even if someone knew where he could get it near that location, without knowing where his location is, he wouldn't speak up with the information.

All in all, it makes it a lot more interesting and helpful if everyone lists at least some kind of general location.

Sometimes I deal in large amounts of gold and cash on a daily basis. The last thing i need to worry about is someone narrowing down my location. I know people who have gotten jacked for less. I have met with gold buyers who buy gold off the streets and meets clients in the same location over and over. Like walmart parking lot or what have you. This is sitting your self up for a robbery. Anytime someone can place you at a specific place and time this is a security issue. Even though i'm building my refinery at one of my home locations i still maintain anonymity and security. I even have a new little friend to help out with that now compliments of forum member (its-all-a-lie).
Not that it has to do with not trusting forum members but like stated in this thread earlier there are undesirable who frequently visit this forum regulary.

Yes it's an ar-15. Jerry (its-all-a-lie) could tell you more about it. I think he bought it as a kit and put it together. I just like playing with it. He has some other bells and whistles that goes with it to. Personally my favorite is the old shot gun.

Same here Geo. Got a C. Carry permit - so unless I'm in a bank or the post office... I'm armed.

The Porter Cable on the floor next to it is the one you have to really watch out for. Not to mention that dam Eastwing hammer that nearly took my finger off.

That AR was put together with extra parts i bought from a friend. the mag holder is unique, this is the only one i had ever saw. It is an MG-20 made by The Mako Group, the link at the bottom will give you all the details. I ALWAYS have my Glock 26 on my side and a Beretta Bobcat .22 in the hip pocket, and when im in my truck, there is a .44 Redhawk handy. I, like Palladium, deal with alot of people on a daily basis buying gold and silver jewelry and usually have a few thousand in cash on me. I WILL NOT BE CAUGHT WITH MY PANTS DOWN. Reading over this makes me think i may be a little paranoid, but i work too damned hard for what little i have and i will not let it be taken from me. I dont think a person can ever be overly prepared to defend himself, his family, and what he believes in. The Mako Group has alot of nice parts to choose from and pricing is fair in my opinion. Here is the link.

I envy you my American cousins, here we can't even carry a stun gun so we have to rely on our wits and trust the police to keep us safe.....
I heard a guy got bundled into the back of a car and robbed of his cash and gold literally 30 metres from where I'm based, that happened this week
