About time I make myself know around here. Let me introduce myself.

Name : Ray

*** : M

Age : 54 (old buzzard)

Location : Kokomo, IN USA (pronounced just like in the song by the Beach Boys - A Little Place Called Kokomo)

Profession : Unemployed 30 year HVAC installer

Hobbies : Metals , Metals and Metals, Strange Hobbie I know. But Hay It's a hobbie that makes me a little money too. With the help of this forum I can add refining to my hobbies, I'm hooked, my familey's probley ready to send me to rehab.

Interrests : I'll be out in the garage fondeling anything that don't stick to a magnet. I prolly need to get out more. I've always enjoyed Drag Racing NHRA, if it smells like Nitro and Burnt Rubber I'm intrrested.

How long have you been refining gold? : Not yet, but I do have some Au mash from various small batches of headder pins and othe various minute pieces. Been working on 28# of electric contact points that I've scrounged up over 30 years, I did make me 1 little 5grm Ag button just to see if I could.

What are you looking for in our community? : Education, Knowledge. I always hated school. I learn from hands on. If school had peeked my intrest like this forum I would not have been playing hookie all the time. This forum gives me the courage to to do things with chemicals that I didn't even know were possible till I found this forum. My high school education didn't envolve any chemistry, and thanks to the instruction of the Pros on this forum I will be furthering my education.

How did you discovered our Forum? : It' been a wile, but I think I had typed in a search on E-bay for gold or silver, and run into something pertaining to the I-shore system. That had sparked my intrest, but I knew I couldn't afford that systum so I used some keywords from that listing on Google and found this forum, what a gold mine.

Other : To all you Pros and Experts (you know who you are) Im so greatfull for your time and effort spent correcting rookies like myself.
Thanks so much --- Couldn't have done it without ya.
To all the rookies please don't feel like a question mite be to stupid to ask. I havn't see anything to stupid yet. I know I learn from any response to rookie questions too. It's all educational and I look forward to it I'm shure others do too.
This forum has the ability to turn all us rookies into XSPURTS
XSPURTS = X is a sign of Xcelence and a Spurt is just a drip under pressure.
No offence just being silly -------- enough for now Ray

Glad to have you aboard! I am sorry to hear that your family may think you are in need of a precious metals rehab as none exist. Tell your family this is the best replacement. The forum can cure your fever.

Worst case scenario, your family will probably agree that this new found love you have is better than cheating on your wife

Well Thanks guys,
I hope to be able to contribute something usefull to the Forum in exchange for all the information I been gleening around here for the past 10 or 12 months.

Harold : Age and Wisdom go togather, yours does show. Your slipping though, You didn't through the book at me :) . By your advice I got me a hard copy of Hoaks book. I thank you for that.

Oz : When I said family I was just being silly, I'm home alone, I divorced when my boy was 8 and he just turned 27. Except for 2 sisters most of the family remain here in Kokomo and thay know where to find me, I'll be out in the garage. I think I got a date with the binch vice tonight even.
I got some silver clad wiring coming out of some NASA equiptment.

Thanks again guys --- Ray

Way cool! Glad to have been a part of your beginning. You are well served to get an understanding before jumping in with both feet. It's nothing short of amazing how much is in that book, especially for the novice.

Harold
