Hello everyone. My name is Dennis Doan, from ky. I'm disabled, full time scrapper. I got into escrap a few years ago, and have been learning as much as I can about e scrap. I use the extra money from scrap, and e scrap to help with my day to day expenses. My disability check pays the bills, but that's about as far as it goes. I usually sell my boards and e scrap items to a company in Ohio, but have decided to keep the higher valued items like CPU, fingers, pins, and some eproms for refining. My girlfriend and I have been together for a little over 3 1/2 years, and I thought that it would be cool if I had a ring made for her out of the gold that I have recovered from escrap. I have a few pounds of CPUs, and a few pounds of gold fingers/gold flashing from boards. The CPUs consists of ceramic and fiber, and the fingers are from finger cards, and ram with some pieces of gold surface plating from some boards like telcom, and other higher grade PCBs. I also have a pound or so of gold plated pins, and even some gold plated jewelery. I also have a pound or two of eproms and flatpacks from ram and telcom items. I have a pretty good knowledge about e scrap, and have learned a lot from scrapmetalforum, but on the refining side, I know nothing. I would like to find someone in or around ky that does toll refining, just to keep it local, but would consider shipping anywhere in the states.
