We are heating Spent Platinum adsorbed on to activated carbon in a furnace upto 1000 deg C. We observe loss of Platinum. Can you suggest conditions to avoid loss of Platinum during above process

You started a thread in mid September about Platinum, Silver and Iodine asking for methods of separation. here But you never followed up with results. Now you come here in October with Platinum in activated carbon with little explanation of the source of the platinum and how it came to be in the activated carbon.

Are we to assume you were able to separate the Platinum from the Iodine complex and process it further? You have given no details yet apparently expect to be given options.

This forum is a collection of refiners helping refiners and coming here and saying help me with this while giving little information and absolutely no feedback is not helpful. If you followed any of the suggestions in your first thread and had success, the right thing to do is post your results in a follow up. Saying nothing helps no-one, except possibly you if you used a suggestion but really do not care to share the result. The people who get the most out of this forum realize it is a two way street, and members who don't give back or participate by following up, can easily end up being ignored on future requests.

You came here for answers so please participate by following up and giving details. It's in your own best interest.
