My main complaint about the Mabor cupels is their tapered shape. Unless you have cupel tongs made especially for them, they tend to rotate in some types of tongs and can dump their contents when you pick them up. I much prefer the straight shape of the traditional bone ash or DFC composite cupels. The big advantage of the magnesia cupels is their low cost. Also, the silver sprouts less due to their slower cooling.
