First point, you only need to post your question once, double posting spreads your responses and advise and makes the gathering of information more difficult.
Secondly, you need to make your post clearer, are you being offered fingers for 75 dollars a pound and need to know if it could be profitable, or are you selling at 75 dollars a pound and asking if we think they will sell at that price?
Most of us here that have processed this type of scrap know that you can recover as much as 4-5 grams per lb for old, carefully trimmed fingers, to as little as 2 grams per lb (our less) for some types.
A buyer knows this and must assume the lower amount and price accordingly to make a profit. Assuming an average gold price of (around) $52 per gram. A buyer will assume the total melt value of around $104 per lb for your gold trimmed contact fingers.
If a buyer offers $75 per lb, he is assuming a profit of around $29 per lb.
Not good, not bad, just is what it is.
Plenty of the buyers around the forum pay at or near $60-$70 a pound for cut/trimmed fingers. So it seems reasonable to me you'd have a buyer at $75/lb.
