Monatomic Gold

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the processes required to obtaining monatomic gold? That is gold refined to a fine white powder.

My understanding from a friend who makes it is thast you start with regular Au and dissolve it in AR. Then the solution is evasporated to dryness and re-dissolved with distilled water. Do this twenty or so times and a white gold appears.
