Well i started this path 2 years ago lot of studying and collecting material, finally got what i hoped for a nice shiny button. I started with around 200 boards most where fully gold plated lnb boards and few other plated materials, put it all in AP solution then collected foils then used HCL and chlorine tablets to dissolve then dropped with SMB I did this 4 times to be sure it was clean then boiled in water, then HCL and water again. everything seemed to go as expected i did find a lot of help on this forum so I would like to show it off in this pic it haven’t been cleaned yet still really nice for first one.

Nice and shiny button. Cleaning it up to such a high purity is always impressive, for the patience it takes if nothing else! I'm collecting my first-pass powders in capped microcentrifuge tubes, and will purify them all at the same time to minimize transfer losses. The tubes are chemical-resistant plastic, so they can go right into aqua regia and dissolve every trace of gold.

I'm up to about 12-13 grams of gold powder, with LOTS of materials to go! 30 pounds of various chips and counting, at least 2 pounds of pins, 20 pounds of CPUs, 5 pounds of RAM cards to process... I have a lot of work to do this winter!
