Hi, I'm a 40+ year old Norwegian that finally stopped lurking the forums.

I've done panning from electronics and lately tried chemical processing after figuring out that the mechanical accessing I have been doing creates too fine gold for me to reliably separate with panning.

Not quite up to buttons yet but I wanted to share my first little bead from only 3 sticks of ram chips (Not from goldfingers). It's measuring 0.46mm diameter making it very close to 1milligram.
What I like about it though is the crystaline structure it got as it cooled.

To get an idea of the scale I put the tip of a 0.4mm syringe in the frame. I happened to have one on my bench for glue and it was so close in size.

So, this was reclaimed by panning the ground up chips and then panned a few more times to clean it up properly. Microscope investigation in the leftovers show me I need to go chemical to get it all. Still, gold is gold :D :G
