I am not sure, wheter this here is the right spot to make such anouncements. If not, just move the thread where it belongs..
I have made a short compilation on common and popular gold scrapping activities.
It adresses people who want to get a compact overview on what kind of business possibilities there are.
I briefly discuss around a dozen of objectives, such as e-waste, glassware, x-ray, batteries aso.
Most of the methods and items described will be known to regular reader of this forum here, but some may be new, since I worked them out by myself, such as a very easy way to obtain the gold and silver from CDs and DVDs, some exotic stuff like iridium from sparks aso.
I dont go too much indepth when it comes to chemical procedures etc. since that would have been too much for a small handbook.
Apart from the pure technical aspects, I also discuss financial and social issues related to gold scrapping and urban mining. I believe, that this kind of occupation will become more and more relevant for a global mass of people to whom it may offer an additional or even initial income. The new gold mines are no longer in Nevada or Alaska they are just in the middle of large cities. This is what urban mining reflects.
It was great fun for me making this one. If reader´s like it as well I may go for a second small book I did have to use information that is from public sources just like wiki or even this forum, bcause I can not reinvent the wheel and work out a new periodic system. But I made sure that I tested or doublechecked all info, recipes or tried them out by myself in my little hell´s kitchen.
So if sometime sit takes too long to search yourself through Google and the internet, just to find some little piece of info on a certain gold scrap type, this may come in handy.
It´s written in my humble english, has 100 pages with around 30 b/w pictures and available through Amazon for 18,90 US$ http://goo.gl/NbSNw.
