Hi

Some of my old solutions may have precipitated Ag20 after Sodium Hydroxide?

The solutions were from an old AP HCL & Bleach and some peroxide bubbled for 6 days (PCBoards/Phone items)

I got a Black powder and brown powder from filters, some of the solutions look to have Agcl? however the powders are brown and back which may indicate Ag20?

Watch video.. each drop created a larger mass of Agcl? from the filters which gave black/brown powders, as I filtered back into old solution.

I heated the black Ag20, and it turn White grey, although smelting was a mess!...nothing back but slag and gunk?

if the Black powder is Ag20, as the powder turned White after heating the beaker and was precipitated by Sodium Hydroxide, how can I smelt successfully?

Would Hcl & Bleach Ag20

Thanks
MM

You are threading a very fine line here!
This is another post that should belong in a thread with your other material.

Regarding this particular post:
Why in the world should you have Silver Oxide or Silver Chloride from starting materials containing practically no Silver in the first place, especially when you treat it with leaches prohibiting the dissolution of Silver?

1. Your starting material do not contain much if at all Silver.
2. Chloride based leaches will never have much Silver in it.
3. Silver Chloride are white until it darkens to purple and going to almost black in the end. Needs bright light.
4. If you have added NaOH you can have Silver Oxide if it contained Silver Chloride in the first place.

This is how it looks to me!
What you seem to do here is reading and half understanding, then apply the wrong techniques to the wrong material.
When the processes don't work, you try read the results in the light of Alchemy.

Edit to clean up the text a bit.

Consider the possibility that the OP is continuously posting these bizarre "experiments" merely to get a reaction. OP has been corrected on numerous occasions, yet perseveres with ignoring any guidance. IMO sounds similar to "BahaBully" who no longer posts here.
