Hi
I'm not entirely sure I can even ask this question in this forum, but would appreciate some guidance.
I'm currently only melting the gold I buy and all is fine. Sometimes thought I get pieces of jewelry with a lot of small diamonds in it. The stones are just too small to hammer out and just melting the piece damages the stones: they burn, lose clarity...
I'm looking for a process where I can remove the stones undamaged and then melt the gold.
Could someone point me to the right process so I can do some research? I just need a starting point
Thanks for reading.
