Hello all.

So one night was surfing YouTube, mostly watching Ron Paul videos (No this is not a political post, I promise) and you know how it goes, to keep clicking on the related videos and somehow you end up to a video of a cat flushing a toilet, and you have no idea how. Well, kinda like that, I ended up at a video watching someone dissolve gold in AR. I was hooked.

I immediately downloaded Hoke, read it, most parts a dozen times or so. I scoured the forums here, learned more about SMB, AR, AU, etc etc then I ever knew even existed. I have zero background in chemistry- not even a high school class or two- I took Biology/Zoology/Anatomy. I didn't let that deter me and two weeks and hundreds of dollars later I had a working lab in my detached garage. My wife was unimpressed.

Tonight I finished my first test batch of ram fingers and ended up with a 1.1 gram button. My wife was impressed.

You guys have heard the process a million times over, so I won't bore you with that, just to say I generally followed every word of LaserSteve's I could get my hands on. From that and Hoke, I had plenty of information to at least start. I have since ordered the DVD (processing fingers one) just in case I am still missing anything, and hope to get it soon.

Here are a few pictures, including my first button.

Cheers!

Agreed your going to be a welcome addition to the family. Congratulations on a fine looking first button. It's not worth a fortune so keep it, it will remind you years later of that thrill of holding your first refined gold...it's worth more than the money 8)

Very 8) Jack --- Of course you do know that there is no turning back now  you are hooked for good
