Hey guys
Ive been prospecting gold for about 15 years now. Now I am finding intrest smelting and refining. Were is the best starting place? smelting or refining? I will be looking for the basic tools and flux needed to start making little gold buttons so. I have found gold with mercury on it I would like to find a vented retort also. any links?

Is anyone in Colorado Springs active in this form?

Welcome to the forum. Use the search block upper right retort returned 210 posts. Several of the members work with ores and can help with assays and such to get you a formula for extracting the PM’s or to find a buyer if you have quantities required.
