There is information about the questions you have asked ALL OVER this forum. I would suggest using the Google search bar at the top of the page and just type in key words. Also you need to provide more information about how you got this brown powder in the bottom of your jar for anyone to be able to help you.

Sounds like you've read enough to be able to produce something. If it's brown, it could be gold. The better the questions, though, the better the answers. Your best bet is to first explain what you've done, step-by-step - 1-2-3-4..., on what type material, what is your present situation as you see it, and what exactly it is you want to know.

Agree completely with GSP.

first i leached the gold from fingers using muriatic acid and peroxide for about 1 week i got an estimated 2-3 grams of gold foils next i mixed 2 parts muriatic acid to 1 part bleach dropped the gold foils down in it let it sit overnight filtered then i precipitated with potassium metabisulphite this took a few hours to completly drop i think i used to much potassium metabisulphite because to start with i had white mixed with dark brown powder so i rinsed in muriatic acid and filtered and now i have just dark brown powder did i do it right thanks for your help

also am looking for where to get grants to start my own scrap yard i love messing with metal and would like to make a career out of it there is a neighboring county where my family lives that doesnt have a recycling center and seems there is a lot of money to be made if i could be the first to start one there but dont have any money of my own i am barely making it working 20-30 hours a week for 5 dollars an hour so need to find grant or investor

Good luck with that. Maybe buy some lottery tickets?

Alternatively stick with your job, learn lots of things on here and hopefully use them later to your advantage.

Good luck with it.

i thought about the scrap yard idea at one point but ran into many stumbling blocks and never went through with it. the biggest hurdle at least as far as i can tell is not just the money and making a reputaion for yourself so people will actually bring you material, but its what your local lawas and regulations require for you to operate but what it is going to take to keep the E.P.A in your area happy, good luck and be safe
