Is anyone familiar with the Angus MacKirk Leaching apparatus? I am looking for instruction for the unit. I am 99% sure you use Sodium Thiosulfate with the unit, but I am not sure how much to add to the top tank. I am working with black sand mostly to recover fine gold, but I also want to use the unit on quartz that contains gold as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been prospecting in the Arkansas River north of Buena Vista. I am waiting again until August 15 when they ****** the flow in the river following white water rafting season. That way you can get out further in the river to places few people get to. the water is cold, but I love being outdoors and it is always a rush, for me, when I find gold "in the wild".
