Started watching people refine their electronics scrap and found that my 95 year old father had collected some gold-plated pins or connectors and thought, "Well, I need to figured how gold was there." Researched some of the "simpler" methods using an initial chemical bath of 2 parts muriatic and 1 part H2O2. I'm finding that the bath continues to work on the connectors days after the suggested time frame for other electronic waste. Want to figure out best way to extract base metals and leave the gold.

Welcome to the forum !!!
1 part H²O² is too much peroxide, you will risk dissolving your gold and it will plate back out of solution onto your base metals as a black looking powder.
For acid peroxide you only need a little bit of peroxide to help get some copper in your acid.
Other option is to add a piece of coroded copper, that will get copper dissolving faster into your hydrochloric acid.
