hello all i'm newbie from indonesian.. i'm looking for something new in refining gold..how to refine gold ore from my traditional mining into 99.999% gold.. when i'm done refined gold from ore i'm always loss about 40%  ..

sorry for my poor english

Can you describe how or why you are losing gold in refining? That's not normally the case.
If you are comparing finish weight with starting weight, then you should expect a loss. Gold is almost never found pure, so you should expect to lose weight in keeping with the fineness of the recovered product.

How are you extracting the values? How are you refining?

last refined (about a week ago)total net seperate gold from my panning (i use mercury..very bad... i have no information at all how to seperate gold from gold ore) weight is about 1200 gram..in this first refined process i've been loss my gold about 20% my first refining process using HNO3 and boiling till dried..and the second refined process i'm using HNO3 (in this step i've been loss about 10% - maximum 25%) and at the end i melt it that gold. Some time i wonder if i can found how to refined gold in good way how much total weight can i get..total net procesed gold about 5000 gram so far..i use specific gravity to measured my gold karat..

i only use HNO3 to refined my gold..

Native gold nuggets aren't found pure from the ground. You didn't lose gold by using HNO3. You removed other metals from your gold.

Have you tested your used HNO3 for other valuable metals?

Test with Salt (NaCl) for Silver?
