Motor City Capital, I recently came to get some junk cat converters, well does anyone know the best method of extracting the PD and PT from the dust and ceramics?

should I just throw it into my burnout oven and try to melt it out?

Heh!

With the melting point of platinum the equal of that of silicon, and nothing as a collector, assuming you could melt them in a burnout oven (not even close) you'd not make a recovery of note.

Having read your second comment, you have it right. Do your homework. Processing cats isn't easy, nor is it easy to market the values without taking a bath.
