Hello all at the Gold Refining Forum,
Please allow me to introduce myself, Barry Kramer. I have a lot of experience in the scrap metals industry and in buying/selling used industrial equipment. I work full time for a local scrap yard, where I manage eBay sales and electronic scrap.
I have a new start-up business, Baltimore Recyclers. Currently, I am buying scrap computers in the Baltimore area. I called all around the area, checking on who was buying electronic scrap, and how much they were paying. Then I discovered that eBay had a lot of activity buying and selling scrap computer parts.
I found this site from a Google search. With the latest surge in the prices of precious metals, I am not sure how to sell the computer scrap, that I have on hand, and that I will be generating. I could sell to local buyers, but I see other scrap yards selling computer scrap on eBay. And I need to determine if it is worthwhile to invest in equipment to extract the precious metals. My research continues, I have a lot of reading to do.
All the best, Barry
