Newbie here!!

Hope everyone is doing well, I join because we are moving back to Hawaii and after seeing a video about metal detecting in the ocean I wanted to learn more about what you do after the fact.

I have a lot of questions???

For example:

How do you melt down the gold?

Should you go to a refinery?

Where do you sell the gold for the best price?

Should you sell gold to the bank?

Basically wanted to just understand the process before I jumped in.

I figured there’s a lot of you that are basically experts and can point me in the right direction, instead of me doing my ADHD route

You might have a niche market there. Hawaiian gold! I don't know, but it seems like something tourists might pay a premium for. I'd explore putting it in tiny vials and selling it in gift shops before I'd consider melting or refining. Haoles love keepsakes from their vacations.
