Organic matter in my AR

Hi all. I have some glass container filled with AR ready to drop the gold out and had to leave for a few days and while I was gone the wind blew off the lids and dirt and lot of organic matter ended up in the AR. Filter this dirt and organic matter out and wanted to know if I roast this material or used a torch to burn the organic matter off, would I lose gold? What would be the best way of dealing with minimal gold loss with organic matter that has absorbed some AuCl4?
