This is a long overdue introduction and shout out to this forum. I live in the deep south USA, I’m 65 years old and I’m about to retire after 44 years in the construction industry. I’ve been in the background on this forum for many years – after a long absence I could not log on with my original account (RobertP601) so I started this new one. I’ve been buying and stacking gold as a store of value since 1975 when it was legal to own it again here in the States, but the interest in refining didn’t start until about 2002 when I came across a DVD from Laser Steve and he introduced me to this forum.

Early on I “met” and followed some hall of fame refiners – Harold, GSP, Catfish, Kadriver and others. As the years rolled by there have been so many members that have given sound advice and demonstrated patience with their replies – 4metals, Geo and Palladium as examples. I have never posted a single question, I quickly learned every question that came up had been asked and answered, all I had to do was find it. So thank you all for that.

I am not a chemist and not a highly skilled refiner, I only refine gold filled and karat gold scrap but the results shown in the photograph have become consistent, 999+ every time, every refine. Knowledge, patience, practice and perseverance are the keys and you guys are world class in teaching them all. THANK YOU!

Thank you for posting that. Sometimes we wonder how we can make it easier to access information already on the forum. And I personally wonder if there are those who can do it without asking for clarification. Well you are living proof. Thanks for checking in.
