Ques. About AC

Hey everyone, Everything has been working great. Made my own nitrate acid, did a AR, Did a AP, that one I really like. Its cheap, easy and never lose site of your gold. Now I’m ready to do the AC. Easy enough but after I filter the gold solution? If I put the solution back on the hotplate and boil off the chloride? Wouldn’t either the gold drop by itself since its only HCL at this point or atleast it would drop easier with the SMB. What is the best way to KISS? Thanks, Don

Don,

No need to boil the filtered gold chloride solution. Just be sure it is 100% clear without any suspended particulate before adding the SMB. Just add dry SMB unitl the solution tests negative for gold. Be sure to stir the solution. Add an amount of SMB equal to twice the expected gold yield.

Thanks Steve I'll keep it simple but it is fun being the "Mad Scientist". I Haven't blow anything up yet but the day is early lol.
