Picked this up today after somebody threw it out. At first I thought it was a radio transmitter but some quick google searches tells me it's a 2Kw RF power generator.
Built by RF Power Products Inc, this is a pretty serious piece of equipment. 208v 3 phase input and I'll bet it weighs over 200lbs. I almost ripped a new one loading into my vehicle.
With all that weight I can only imagine it's loaded with copper inside. Seems a shame to scrap this piece.

Try to put power to it if you have 3 phase, to see if it powers on, if it does, try listing it for sale on your favorite auction site. If you got it for free anything over what there is there in scrap is a plus. Just do your research on it to make sure it would even be worth listing, if it's not worth it just scrap it out.

No chance to power it up where I am. I will get some internal pics later. I'm interested in seeing what's inside it to make it so heavy.
During my google searches I did find one company that refurbishes these units and sells them.....This model resells for $5500.

If it was me, I would email the company that rebuilds them and ask them to make you an offer. Who knows they might pay decent money if they have a market for the rebuilt ones.

This is what I would do too.

I get servo motor controllers in and I always look for a rebuilder first. I get around 20.00 apiece for 2.00 in scrap.
