Is there a refinery in Portland Oregon that accepts the black sand from thee AP process/ My hopes are to create myself a income from home, myself being a single parent. I do not have the means to smelt it myself as of now. Also I picked up 5 oz. of dental crowns, fillings, and denture making metals I haven't figured out where to sell either. Thanks for any help, joe

Joe take my advice and learn to test so you can be aware of what your dealing with, if your dental alloys contain values you should be able to find out and sell them at a reasonable price. If this is the case buy yourself a torch and a melting dish so that you can do your own melting, I'm assuming as you said from AP that you have gold from e scrap, if so why not go that one step further and actually refine it so again you know what you have, failing that just sell the material as is here on the forum without any chemical processing or on e bay.

thanks for the advice. I do appriciate it. So would I just take some pics of the dental material and post it? My AP isn't quite turning out, yet. It doesn't pass the acid test and my time for research is extremely limited. I feel like a posterboy for gold fever , who, chose a hot air balloon as his means of transportation and is currently drifting over ElDorado unable to touch down.

Hope you will not be offended but....
You will never touch down without proper amount of time spent learning, researching and educating yourself. You are going to end up in deep water with your hot air balloon on top of you.

It is like trying to dismantle automatic gear box in formula one and trying to put it back again in working condition. It does not mean that you can do that if you know how to drive car. You need to know how to do it, where to start and with what to finish. A lot of time of educating yourself and learning new things.
But it can be done, I am (and many more members here) an example. But I have to say that I did my first AP process after being member and reading everything here for about 15 months. You may be faster, many do but nobody can do it properly "limiting their research time"

I agree. I have been addicted for about 11 mths now but had to give up my internet access about 3 mths ago. I haven't really progressed since. I'm sure i'll blink and poof, be an expert. Of coarse 20 years will have passed as well. Thanks for the advice.

We still have gold mines in southern Oregon, and plenty of miners still mining, although all of the new laws are making it harder.

I am a bit confused what your calling black sands, is this from dredging or panning, or is this the black impure copper/gold powder from one of your processes like the copper II chloride leach...

You can recover and refine this gold, but it will take study to learn how.

If you can give a better description of what you actually have, we can give better advice on how to deal with it.

Yet another old thread dug up by Portland gold buyer. This one is from 2012 and the original poster hasn't been here since 2012 either. This is starting to look more and more as spam to me.

perpdx, if you want to advertise your business, there are a certain place for that on the forum in the Refiners, Buyers, Assayers, etc. section.

I have removed the post by Portland gold buyer, perpdx, as it was deemed to be spam.

The post was made just above Butcher's answer.
