Are you talking about recovery cells, or refining?

There are many different types of electrolytic recovery and refining

So to be clear you can use cells for recovering, like a sulfuric cell used to deplate gold plating.  There are also Nitric and AR acid cells.

One refining cell talked about on this forum a lot is a silver parting cell.

There are cells meant to make colloidal silver and gold.

If you do any reading, you can look up patents on the subject.  There seems to be no end of crazy inventions that were designed to do exactly what we do, except not nearly as well, or efficiently, or cost effective.

Did you have a specific application in mind?

Also, I am flattered that you asked me, but there are many other people on this forum that are far more knowledgeable in electrolytic metallurgy than I.  If anyone would like to chime in and add their two cents, it would e appreciated.

Scott
