Ok so the first batch I ran the rinse was clear after filtering. This time is very different. After filtering the left over "mostly water" is a blue green. What metals could exist in mostly water.
History - Processed 50-60 pounds of high end AV connectors in sulfuric cell. First was the sludge that came from the cell. Rinsed, filtered dissolved in hcl and bleach... result normal.

2nd batch History - after the items were processed I just thru them all in a pail to be rinsed at a later date. That date was today. about 2 - 3 weeks after original processing. After I rinsed them all down with tap water (to rinse residual gold out of crevasses and so on) and filtered the water was an interesting blueish green color... I am baffled? What could be insolution this time that was not last time?

copper? given time a small amount would possibly react with sulfuric exspecially if some was oxidized.

Im pretty sure there is copper in there but that would just be green I think. It the blueish color that has me stumped.

I though copper in solution was green... or is that just copper chloride that is green and copper sulfate is blue?

You're dealing with sulfuric acid no? Copper(II) exposed to sulfuric... Remember your chemistry classes? Check wiki

Manitobans helping each other. They don't call it Friendly Manitoba for nothing. It's on our License Plates. Yup thats our claim to fame.

Banjags FYI Hokes is now a free download, it's linked two locations on the forum so it's an easy find.
