sulpheric acid cell and gold plated jewlery

Hello my name is Jim and I have been refining for few years now but I feel Luke my yields are so low , well this last batch sent me seeking for some more help I did about 20 pounds of scrap plated jewlery in a sulphuric cell then siphon off acid back in container and treated black mud with water several times ,then hcl then ,hcl/cl and normal drop with smb but my yields were only about 1 gram in au seems very low yields for so many pnds of stock? Any help on other poepls yields would help thanks a bunch!
