Welcome! There is a ton of information here, and it sneaks up on you if you are curious and genuinely wanting to learn. Our tribal elders bring perhaps a century and a half of real-world, commercial grade experience. Even if you have no present intention of chemically refining PMs, the Hoke book is quite a reference work, well worthy of study to understand what people have to go through to get this stuff isolated and purified. Available from the signature line of any post by Palladium. 369 pages, costs $5 for a brief access to being able to print it out. You can read it for free. And well worth it.
