Hi guys, Ive found a couple of thermocouples in the trash form my work (working as a process engineer here in Sweden) Type S so its mostly platinum. So, to my question, you can find gold and stuff in computer CPUs, RAM, motherboards, cellphones etc. What stuff should I search for in order to find precious metals? I dont want to collect two tons of phones but can someone please tell me which items contains most precious metals? Gimme a list please :-D And oh, one more question, on national geographic theres a nice show called "Från metall till jackpot" here in Sweden, I cant find the english translation for the show, any ideas? Basically, the direct translation is "From metal to jackpot"

Thanks

Well you did just fine with type S. Those ~94-95% Pt balance rhodium when melted. They make a very enduring alloy and nice jewelry!

The show that you are thinking of is "Money Meltdown" and I am trying to find full episodes online without luck. If anyone know where I could get them.

That show contains a bit of truth and a bit of fiction and it's been discussed on the forum before. For example :

... unless there are a new show showing with a similar name.
