I am looking to have an assay on my black sand, on Vancouver Island. Looking to either sell it all, or have it processed. I have approximately 3000 lbs, and have been selling off bits as paydirt, but I think I should process and extract the precious metals. I currently use a spiral wheel and miller table, but would like a chemical analysis to see if it's a more viable solution to chemically extract the gold.
Any leads on local assayers? (havent found much on my own) Any help appreciated!

Using a spiral wheel followed by miller table is slow and somewhat tedious, but there are no better methods I know for recovery of clean visible gold from concentrates. For the remainder I would crush to powder, roast, remove magnetics, and smelt with an appropriate flux (I use Chapman formula for most cons).

If I ever get a setup capable of smelting more than a few pounds of cons at a time I would consider making an offer, but that will have to wait a year or two.
