Hi everyone,

1) In a board have Pd,Ag, Cu and a little Au. What the best process to take all metals?

2) How to separeted Ag+ from Pd++ in a HNO3 solution?

3) In a solution H+( acid ) with Pd ++ that was used Urea (NH2)2CO2, why is difficult ( hard) to precipitate the ion Pd++ ?

Thanks

Hard to say...Can you post a pic of that board?...It seems to be a cell phone board.

If it is possible pick up all PM items,I mean,do not soak in acid the hole board.Nitric acid process will dissolve Pd,Cu and Ag.Gold remains as little particles.

To separate Ag from Pd just add common salt,AgCl precipitaes and Pd remains in solution.

Pd is precipitated with sodium chlorate,but you need a concetrated solution of Pd and temperature close to boil.Take a look to Pd recovery process using the search box of this Forum.

Kindest regards.

Manuel
