Those videos are perfect. Follow to a "T" and you can't really go wrong. This was my first experiment. I have put everything aside since, and waiting until I really feel comfortable with the more complicated procedures. Until then, I'll just grab the surface gold, save the left over parts for later use, and keep reading.

Use very good glases.
You look at 100-110g of close cut fingers which may yield about 0.2g of gold. Use acids sparingly you will be able to process all that fingers in less than half a liter of HCl. I guess that you dont have ball mill so processing chips is out of question for now but even if there may be gold inside it will be probably less than from fingers. If you buy electronic scrap try to pay absolute minimum otherwise you lose money.
