What would be the result (if any), if you added smb to the AP solution that is poured of after retrieving the gold?

well, you would ruin the AP solution for one. when AP is first started, you may have added too much peroxide and this may have dissolved a MINUTE amount of gold. when copper was exposed any gold in solution would have plated out at that time and would be a black powder mixed with the foils, but the amount would be so small that you would not be able to see it against a dark stained filter even if you were looking for it. trying to get dissolved gold from AP is a waste of time unless you added an over excessive amount of peroxide and kept adding it at an amount that would hold gold in suspension.
