What would you pay for 24k Gold buttons?

Curious to know what you guys are willing to pay for the following:

24K gold scrap, melted to misc / custom sized buttons :

1g -
1/4 oz -
1/2 oz -
1 oz -
1 kilo -
Custom size -

I'd like to know if its worth while creating these sizes for re sell.

I would say it is not worth the time, as most large gold buyers will buy at a percentage of spot and buy as much as they can get their hands on. Unless you can professionally mint them, make you buttons as large as possible.

Well, most of the local jewelers around here pay between 105-111% of spot for 24K gold casting grain.


Personally, if I were buying off of you, the most I'd pay is 98% of market.
