Hello all,

I work for an e-waste company in Gouverneur, NY I am the procurement manager that is in charge of sales and new supply. We have refined copper from circuit boards that have fine granules, we are having a hard time finding places that will take it. I will add pictures of what the copper looks like, I am open to any suggestions.

I find this very strange.. So you work for a company that deals with e-waste refining, but has no idea how to introduce one of the biggest valuable outputs into a customers recycling process? Which parts of your waste stream are actually refined and sold? How was it refined? Which process was used? Why is it in powder form (not assayable like a homogenous bar/ harmfull for health and nature / wastefull in processing?)
Did you get any feedback from customers why they declined it?
I think there are very legit reasons to not accept copper in powder form, and you need to offer it a different form.

How much do you have (10 pounds - 100 pounds - 1,000 pounds ???)

How was the copper recovered from the CBs ? ------

1) recovered from copper leach solution ?

or -----

2) shredded boards then put through a separation system

in other words - what was the process the CBs were put through to get the refined copper powder

Do you have a melting/smelting furnace ?

You could simplify and perhaps get some extra money if you can turn it to ingots.

It will be better for all if you reply to the one you are addressing, so we know which post you are referring to.
And depending on use, powder may be more expensive than ingots.
