All,

After zinc percipitation in PGM recovery, there is light tinted yellow liquid, presumed it is zinc chlroide. Is there anyway we can recover the spent zinc powder from this solution?

Thanks
Kev

zink is a very reactive metal, I would be suprised to see it precipitate in an acidic solution, unless replaced by another metal.

maybe if you made it basic, but too high of pH may redissolve it.

what good would the zink powder do you even if you recovered it? zink is an easily available metal.

you can replace it with a metal Higher in series like aluminum.
