Hello everyone from GRF.
I have quick question. The method from document suggested adding only enough nitric to dissolve silver oxide and not base metal (stainless or nickel plated).
That leads me to ask why doesnt now dissolved silver cement out on the base metal or undissolved junk, wouldnt it lead to losses?

Good question.
Maybe it is stainless which is not attacked by Nitric anyway?
